11th May: Plant adaptation strategies

11th May: Plant adaptation strategies

One often wonders why a plant grows well in a given position and seems to perish in another or whether it is true that some plants benefit from proximity to others. Parasitism, mutualism, allelopathy, competition for resources: these are all terms that help us understand how plants adapt to the most diverse environments, even creating mutualistic relationships with some mushrooms.

On Saturday 11th May we will explore this interesting theme with a guided tour to discover the adaptations that plants put in place right along the paths of the Carsiana Botanical Garden.

The guided tour will start at 15.30.
