July 18: Herbal remedies and local tradition

The human, plant and health triangle has existed for thousands of years and plants are still used in many ways for health purposes today. But what exactly is a herbal remedy? How is the plant considered from the point of view of the so-called "botanicals"?


In this meeting we will focus on the functional aspects of plants in terms of health and health risks and we will deepen the aspects of some plants that are commonly found in our territory and that are commonly used as traditional remedies.

Appointment on Sunday 18 July at 10.30 in the company of Dr. Elizabeth Visentin, vice president and scientific director of the Oannes association, where she deals with the enhancement of botanical-medicinal culture in the historical and scientific fields.
