Autumn is the time of seeds, the fruit of the sexual reproduction of plants and which guarantee the continuation of generations for years to come.
The tricks that plants use to reproduce and disperse are many and complex: barocoria, when it occurs due to gravity, bolocoria, when in the very act of dehiscence the seeds are projected at a distance. Other types of dissemination instead involve the intervention of external agents: anemocoria, when the seed is carried by the wind, zoocoria, when it occurs by animals, or by ants (myrmecoria), hydrocoria, when the seed is transported by water or even ornithocoria by birds.
The event will examine all types of seed dissemination but also the reasons for reproduction strategies: "K" - a few large seeds, and "r" - lots of small seeds.
