Immersing yourself in nature is wonderful, but sometimes it happens that we don't know how to name the species we meet during our excursions. Learning and recognizing plants may seem challenging, but with the right tools it is actually a pleasant and highly satisfying activity! Would you like to learn with us?
Saturday 9 October at 10.30 we will walk the paths of the garden and use the dichotomous key specially created for Carsiana as part of the Dryades project, developed by the Department of Life Sciences of the University of Trieste, and thanks to the photographs and advice of the experts we will learn to identify the wood species that we will find along our path. With the same principle it will then be possible to determine the herbaceous species that we encounter during our excursions in nature.
For those interested in the conclusion, useful information will be given to learn how to use the digital dichotomous keys that can be downloaded as apps for mobile phones and tablets.
