31 October: The funerary plants

The tradition of bringing flowers and plants to one's dead is still alive: but what are funerary plants symbolically and traditionally? What are chthonic plants?

With the approach of All Saints we will take a botanical journey into the "underground" world, where we will be guided by yew, broad beans, cypress, pomegranate and other species.

Appointment on Sunday 31 October at 10.30 am, in the company of Dr. Elizabeth Visentin, vice president and scientific director of the Oannes association, where she deals with the enhancement of botanical-medicinal culture in the historical and scientific fields.
