April 2: Born to read in Carsiana

On Hans Christian Andersen's birthday, which has been International Children's Book Day since 1967, Nati per Leggere inaugurates the third edition of the initiative "Leggiamo in Giardino / Beremo na Vrtu", which from 2021 offers readings bilingual Italian Slovenian with a nature theme for families with children aged 2 and over in the splendid setting of the Carsiana Botanical Garden.

According to the formula already adopted last year, the readings will be followed by a child-friendly walk to discover Carsiana in the company of a naturalistic guide of the garden.

The appointment with the Italian Slovenian bilingual readings is part of the national Mamma Lingua project, for the promotion of the mother tongue and multilingualism in early childhood.

Around the date of the event, the Municipal Library of Sales will offer an exhibition of nature-themed books in Italian and Slovenian suitable for the 0-6 age group.
